Smashhit is an online design portal that allows you to build your own business cards, posters, calendars, flyers and letter heads. The design utility is made in FLEX 3 for the ease of users to manage their own designs and friendly user interface. The backend server technology for this project is PhP, and database used is mySQL. The website allows you to choose your own design from a number of pre-existing formats or simply use your own layout for the design. Once the design is created, users can download proofs and images of the final product for viewing purpose and adjust anything they don’t like. The proof documents are generated as PDF using alive PDF for FLEX, and the variation of the proof is less than 2% from original design. The website also provides fully integrated PayPal checkout system for secure payments.
